Now Sophia talks in paragraphs! She says, "Tell me a story!" and we make up long yarns about random animals with funny names solving their little problems. She's starting to tell stories now to us. A typical story from Sophia might go like this. "Once a time, there was butterfly named Bunny. Liked to fly. The end!" Yeah, I know, the plot is a little thin, but she makes up for it with charm and a sing-songy, girly lilt.
At this point, Sophie is saying a few recognizable words: "key" and "hot" and "Daddy" are the easiest. But her main mode of communication is American Sign Language. At this point she uses close to 100 signs--mostly foods, animals, and body parts :)
